In partnership with the Cowlitz Tribe, Mohegan played an instrumental role in planning, financing, designing, developing and ultimately operating ilani, which has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’ s premier resort casinos. The property opened in April 2017 following a reported investment of approximately $ 500 million. Mohegan guided six property expansions while building the operational foundation and leadership capacity that enabled the Cowlitz Tribe to successfully transition to self-management in 2023.
